Vital Alliance 5k Run/Walk for Organ Donation.

On Saturday, October 24th, we participated in a 5k Run/Walk for Vital Alliance here in San Antonio. It's a group of volunteer Organ recipients. Our group walked the 5k, with the exception of 1 friend. She was our only runner. Hopefully next year we'll have more runners, including myself. We completed the walk in 1 hour and 11 minutes. Even my 2 little girls participated. We walked wearing pins with boots and hats on them to remember Johnny and we wore butterfly pins to remember Heather Davis. Both were organ donors and gave the gift of life. Way to go Team 'Give the Gift.' I look forward to next years race and I hope to see more folks on our team next October! Thanks for the great turn out.
