Pre-Op appointment and Blood work for the Girls

Well, today I took the girls to visit their 'Blood doctor' aka. Pediatriac Oncologist. He's the BEST doctor I've ever seen. He's a doctor that deals with blood disorders, and cancer. He wears a green bow tie to work, and always makes the kids feel very comfortable. He cracks jokes the whole time we're there which helps to lighten the mood a bit. Of course there were tears today b/c of the needle stick for their blood draw, but afterwards, they each walked out with a glove balloon and a capri sun. All better!! The doctor knows how much I worry about my 2 girls, and he came in and told me all looks great with their blood, so we can procede with surgery as planned. Now hopefully the ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist will feel the same. The girls will have their tonsils and possibly adnoids removed next week on Feb. 12th in the early morning.

Here's a picture of the kiddos this afternoon after being so brave at the doctors office!!!!

Good luck with their surgeries next week. I hope all goes perfectly!
The best part will be afterwards with popsicles and ice cream yum!

Hi Julie, I'm glad yall will be able to be done once and for all with that nasty strep. I know it hurts too. Andrew had it once and all he could say was oww and he would eat a thing. The surgery will be kind of scary for them but it will be better for them in the long run and it will be worth it. Hope to get together soon.

Happy Friday!!
